Freshly Recent Uniquely New

This is how babies go missing, they get lost in their dad's hair.  On the other hand, Lucas really likes his dad's hair.  He is always grabbing at it, staring and laughing at it as well.  I think Lucas thinks that my hair has a life of it's own and it probably does when I do not wash it for a long time.

Here is Hot Mama ever so slightly and lovingly, kissing her oh so cute son on his adorable cue ball head.  One of the things I like about this picture is the little bit of tummy you are able to see on Lucas.  His little belly breaks right through and says "Hello" in this photo.  However, I love to see a mother's heartfelt embrace to their son, especially my awesome son.

Here is my son Lucas in his car seat lookin fresh and cool with his plaid hat jetting backwards like a cool cucumber.  What a precious face he has, but let us not forget Lucas's bouncing bare feet.  I think that Lucas likes to show his feet off because of the immense bouncing and jumping that he takes part in.  It's like he is saying..."Hey man, look!  These are just regular feet with no hidden springs or contraptions.  My bouncing in all natural!"

Now this one is in the set of one of my most favorite pictures that I took on my phone of Lucas.  I absolutely love the tie on the semi-naked baby.  It just goes, you know?  And then you have to take into consideration that pugnacious look he has.  That is good stuff if you ask me.  Anyways, these photos were all taken on my phone and this one is probably a month and a half old.  I finally uploaded them to my computer so I hope you enjoyed them.  I know I did.
Shalom for now....

A Bouncin' Baby

I have discovered that my most wonderful and handsome son loves to jump and bounce like no other. I mean this kid just loves to jump. The first thing that my baby boy will do when I sit down and stand him up on my lap is jump. That is his default. Automatically he starts to bounce up and down. He just loves it, plain and simple. For some strange reason though, he does not do the same with my lovely wife. Its like he knows that with dad, its jumping play time. I actually have to force him to sit down on my lap because my arms will get too tired while holding him as he jumps up and down.

We have a bouncer contraption that Lucas loves and I know that is where he learned the forte to jump and bounce. He can jump in this bouncer for 30 minutes, off and on. The hilarious part to me is he starts to get hysterical as he bounces. He will start to laugh and when I look over at him, a charmingly huge grin perks up and the hysterics of baby laughter emit from this little boy. His favorite thing to do in the bouncer is when I hold both of his hands and kind of bounce up and down with him. I think that is a little piece of heaven for Lucas.

What a small fry my little man is.

The newest fixation Lucas has is him bouncing wildly while watching a "Baby Mozart" DVD on the TV. (Before you say anything about letting a six-month old watch TV, let me state that it is only for a short while and we as his parents think it is just fine.) Anyhow, as Lucas ecstatically hops up and down, a certain scene will catch his eye and he will steady himself and fixate on the screen for a short bit. Then, all of a sudden, he will laugh fervently and start to bob to the beats of Mozart. It is truly a captivating commotion in the liveliest of sense.

One last little tidbit is that my boy is official 1/2 a year old and I was looking at his baby pictures the other day and I got a little forclempt going through the archives of photos. I cannot believe how fast hes growing and how cool he is and how much I absolutely love him. My wife is the greatest mother ever and she does such a great job with him. She is truly amazing and I give her respect for looking after him day in and day out while I am at work. To tell the truth, I am actually jealous of her but that is because I do not see the endless stinky dirty diapers and the fussiness and the crying everyday. But nonetheless, I wish I had more time with him in the day but I am blessed to know that my wife has that job covered.

My Family is AMAZING and I love them more than anything else and would do anything for them. I await the days to come as we grow into the family that we are meant to be.

Cheers and Good Times!! WS

Another Page in the Book of Lucas

Look at this baby boy in his cuteriffic beanie. I do not know if it gets much cuter than this but I will try to do so with the the following pictures.
You be the judge?!!

Well, this is Lucas in one of his most favorite chairs in the whole wide world and that is because this special blue chair VIBRATES and plays the corniest kiddie music imaginable. He is always quite content in it and its like a grandfather's Lazy boy.

Here is mom and her happy boy.

Oh my goodness. I cannot get enough of these two special people. Doesn't the little baby boy Lucas look quite comfortable in mom's loving arms?!
Yes, I believe he does.

Now, let us look at a hodge podge of cuter than cute pictures of my baby boy. Just let me tell you that Lucas is still the light of my light, hence his name; the bringer of light.
Here is Lucas in his proud papas arms and then little Lucas is screaming at dad because he says it is baby fat and not a beer gut and finally is my bald little boy on mom and dad's bed as happy as can be in his striped "100% Baby Boy" shirt.

What we have here is the most happy man, husband and dad all in one because he can hardly believe that he "is" actually a dad, and sometimes has to pinch himself to make sure it is not a dream.
To look at this boy; who is my son, and think that this eternal soul was brought into this world by me (and my beautiful wife of course), is absolutely mind blowing. To think that his life, well-being and soul are under my care is humbling to say the least.

It is positively true that overwhelming love permeates your being when your child is brought into this world and they are yours. Think about that.......God gave us the unique and marvelous gift, this grand responsibility of bringing an eternal soul into existence. A soul that will either end up in Heaven or hell, Sheol or Shamayim, that is heavy duty!
I think that is why God is so serious about the covenant of marriage and the importance of family, why God has given us His commandments and the torah, His law.

Anyways, I went on a rabbit trail there but this is the most transformational event that has ever happened to me in my life.

Lastly, here are Dad and Lucas, reading "Goodnight Moon." As you can see, Lucas is enthralled by with this read and it seems he really likes to be read too. Look how he is captivated by the illustrations and how he is hanging by every word that is read off the page.
But really, isn't this the cutest thing you have ever seen. Like I said at the beginning, I would try to get more cute and more cute and I think I have found success.
Looking at my little man soaking up some dad time has me relishing in Fatherhood.
It don't get much better than this.

So, until next time, "Live long and prosper".

Two is better than one, and three is not easily broken

Blogging is Fun, especially when you have something to write about and today I do....

It is amazing that I am now a proud uncle of two beautiful nieces and one just arrived the other day. I can hardly believe that my sister Kamille is a mother twice over. One thing I know is that she has always been the more responsible one out of myself. She married an awesome man and I could not have picked a better guy out myself. He truly is a great guy and I respect him as a husband, father and a man. I want to just celebrate that our family is growing exponentially and will continue to do so in or around January, when my lovely bride delivers forth the first male in our family, and the first male heir to the Soto Kingdom. Not that there is all that much in the Soto Kingdom, it is still quite cool.

So, I now have a brand new baby niece named Cadence Evangelina Scellick and I pray that she captures all that her name means in her life and personality. One thing I pine over is that I am not able to have more of a meaningful and just time worthiness relationship with my nieces and my sister and brother-in-law. I hope that someday we will be closer and our kids will be able to be very close and play with each other and like each other and want to be around each other. I think that would be just about the best thing for me.

On becoming a dad, I still haven't been hit with the whole sack of potatoes. They say it does not hit the male counterpart until that actual delivery of the child and let me tell you that I can barely wait. One thing that is exciting though is that my mother, father and brother will be able to be a big part of my son's life being that they reside in the same city as my wife and I. I look forward to them playing a huge part in the first boy Soto heir!!! Also, as my parents grow older, I appreciate and love them more and more. However, I shudder at the fact that one day they may not be. Cursed be the day!!!

Anyways, I wanted to blog, so I blogged. Good and hard I would say. If anyone actually even reads this other than my wife.

Shalom uv'racha and Baruch ha Shem to all.
