Synecdoche - A figure of speech in which a part is used to represent the whole, the whole for a part, the specific for the general, the general for the specific, or the material for the thing made from it. Enjoy, Cheers and Shalom!!!
Here is a video of a news story about a off-duty police officer who baked pot brownies and made a hilarious but idiotic 911 call because he thought he was dying. Score one for the law enforcement. Enjoy, Cheers and Shalom.
Here is my baby boy Lucas with his cool little orange knit hat on.
What an infectious smile my little man has. You cannot help but smile and smile when you glimpse at this Pic.
In a little yellow hoodie, my little man has the classic Sotomayor smile!
Madre and nino look great here in this picture. My wife is so beautiful and my son is so adorable!
And last but not least, here is the big boy in the sink, with a perplexed look on his face but I am aware that Lucas absolutely loves bath time.
The coolest thing about this picture is that I can start to see some hair growing in on his cute little head.
Oh how I miss him so and it is totally not fair that I am not able to see him grow up for these past months. Though I am angry, I am giving it to God because I know that I had the most major part to play in the consequences that are upon myself and my family.
I still cannot wait to be reunited with them if my wife still feels the same way.
Until next time, Enjoy, Cheers and Shalom Papa Willy Lucas, Baby L
Here is a classic tune from Crosby, Stills & Nash live from Woodstock. This was a suite of songs named after Steven Still's ex-girlfriend, singer/songwriter, Judy Collins. Collins is known for here piercing blue eyes. Enjoy, Cheers & Shalom.
A classic by all means. Paul Simon, one of the best songwriters in music history. Although in this video, Artie's penetrating creepy stare at the camera makes me uncomfortable but he can sing a great harmony.
This is a classic Muppet's song that Kermit the Frog sings called "Rainbow Connection", and it is classically covered by the Gimmies. Shalom, Cheers and Enjoy!
Yet another Gimmies cover of the infamous Boys II Men song "End of the Road". I actually liked the original when I was a kid; however, this cover is totally tubular. Shalom, Enjoy, and Cheers!
Hands down, Me First and the Gimmie Gimmies (by the way, this moniker is an ingenious and witty band name) are the best cover band this planet has ever been privy too. R Kelly couldn't have done a better job with this song? Enjoy, Cheers and Shalom!!!
This is one of my favorite Beatles songs more for emotional and temporal reasons but it has an unbelievable rhythm and backbeat. It does what it needs to. Enjoy, Cheers, and Shalom!
A great video and song by Mute Math. Saw these guys live and they truly put on one of the best shows I have ever seen in my concert going life. Enjoy, Cheers and Shalom!
This is a Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals song that funkdifies every bone in your being so sit back, and groove to the flowlicious beats of this song.
It looks like this piercing went totally wrong. At the inception, this woman asked for a piercing of the septum but somehow, things got a little out of hand.
This is a man who knows what it is to put his woman in his place and not only that but smokin' a fag while having his woman do all the work. It seems like she is more like an indentured servant.
This is a link to a Telegraph.uk article that gives you the 101 most useful websites. I enjoy these type of conglomerations. Here it be: The 101 Most Useful Websites Happy web hunting!!!

I really cannot believe the inter-networking of everything on the web nowadays. Everything is being connected and if it is not now, it will be very soon or that program or site will be left in the dust. It seems to me like we are on the precipice of something awesome happening in the realm of the web and technology for that matter. Better soak it all up and learn all you can or you will be steps behind when you need to be one ahead.
This is how babies go missing, they get lost in their dad's hair. On the other hand, Lucas really likes his dad's hair. He is always grabbing at it, staring and laughing at it as well. I think Lucas thinks that my hair has a life of it's own and it probably does when I do not wash it for a long time.
Here is Hot Mama ever so slightly and lovingly, kissing her oh so cute son on his adorable cue ball head. One of the things I like about this picture is the little bit of tummy you are able to see on Lucas. His little belly breaks right through and says "Hello" in this photo. However, I love to see a mother's heartfelt embrace to their son, especially my awesome son.
Here is my son Lucas in his car seat lookin fresh and cool with his plaid hat jetting backwards like a cool cucumber. What a precious face he has, but let us not forget Lucas's bouncing bare feet. I think that Lucas likes to show his feet off because of the immense bouncing and jumping that he takes part in. It's like he is saying..."Hey man, look! These are just regular feet with no hidden springs or contraptions. My bouncing in all natural!"
Now this one is in the set of one of my most favorite pictures that I took on my phone of Lucas. I absolutely love the tie on the semi-naked baby. It just goes, you know? And then you have to take into consideration that pugnacious look he has. That is good stuff if you ask me. Anyways, these photos were all taken on my phone and this one is probably a month and a half old. I finally uploaded them to my computer so I hope you enjoyed them. I know I did.
I have discovered that my most wonderful and handsome son loves to jump and bounce like no other. I mean this kid just loves to jump. The first thing that my baby boy will do when I sit down and stand him up on my lap is jump. That is his default. Automatically he starts to bounce up and down. He just loves it, plain and simple. For some strange reason though, he does not do the same with my lovely wife. Its like he knows that with dad, its jumping play time. I actually have to force him to sit down on my lap because my arms will get too tired while holding him as he jumps up and down. We have a bouncer contraption that Lucas loves and I know that is where he learned the forte to jump and bounce. He can jump in this bouncer for 30 minutes, off and on. The hilarious part to me is he starts to get hysterical as he bounces. He will start to laugh and when I look over at him, a charmingly huge grin perks up and the hysterics of baby laughter emit from this little boy. His favorite thing to do in the bouncer is when I hold both of his hands and kind of bounce up and down with him. I think that is a little piece of heaven for Lucas. What a small fry my little man is. The newest fixation Lucas has is him bouncing wildly while watching a "Baby Mozart" DVD on the TV. (Before you say anything about letting a six-month old watch TV, let me state that it is only for a short while and we as his parents think it is just fine.) Anyhow, as Lucas ecstatically hops up and down, a certain scene will catch his eye and he will steady himself and fixate on the screen for a short bit. Then, all of a sudden, he will laugh fervently and start to bob to the beats of Mozart. It is truly a captivating commotion in the liveliest of sense. One last little tidbit is that my boy is official 1/2 a year old and I was looking at his baby pictures the other day and I got a little forclempt going through the archives of photos. I cannot believe how fast hes growing and how cool he is and how much I absolutely love him. My wife is the greatest mother ever and she does such a great job with him. She is truly amazing and I give her respect for looking after him day in and day out while I am at work. To tell the truth, I am actually jealous of her but that is because I do not see the endless stinky dirty diapers and the fussiness and the crying everyday. But nonetheless, I wish I had more time with him in the day but I am blessed to know that my wife has that job covered. My Family is AMAZING and I love them more than anything else and would do anything for them. I await the days to come as we grow into the family that we are meant to be. Cheers and Good Times!! WS
What a happy boy, don't you think?.... He is one of the happiest babies I think I have ever seen or known. You say I might be partial because he is my son and you know what?..... You are probably right, but that does not negate the fact that he is such a sweet, happy, smart and cute little baby boy.
Below is his Grandma Cox with Sweet Little Baby Lucas. You can obviously see how happy Lucas is to be with her. You cannot help but smile when you see this little boy smile at you. It truly brightens your dullest and melancholy of days.
Grandma Cox lives in Mesa, Arizona and she seems to have a special relationship with her one and only Grandson. Sweet Baby Lucas always seems to talk up a storm with Grandma Cox. It is like they always have an in depth conversation together. They simply love each other and each others company. Lucas loves his Grandma Cox so much as you can see in the picture below.
The Sotomayor Clan always has good times with one another. Here is Papa Willy and Sweet Baby Lucas posing for a picture. This cute little man loves Papa's lap. Baby Lucas feels safe and secure and is usually always cheerful and happy when he is cradled there. However, when Lucas gets tired, even the Papa's lap will not do.
So, enter Mama Adrienne. She is by far, the best Momma this side of the Mississippi. She truly has a mother's touch that can soothe and relax our little man like no other. Sometimes, I just gaze from afar at Mama and Baby Lucas as he looks up at her. I can see the love in his eyes and the adoration that he has for her.
Even though you cannot see the whole of Momma Adrienne, Lucas' look says enough
One more happy family shot of the Sotomayor Clan....
Here is a little baby tongue that Lucas likes to sport. He learning how to do new things all the time. Right now he likes to kick with his feet and rock himself back. It is hilarious to see him learn how to control his motions and body. I love the sounds that he makes and the experimentation that he tries with his little vocalizations. He is absolutely the Sweetest, Cutest, Baby Boy in the world. I love him to pieces.
That is all for now but I plan to be more consistent in the updating of this blog. Although nobody really reads this anyways, it is just plumb fun to do.
Here is the Lovable Lucas with his favorite Tigger toy that he carries with him everywhere that he may go. I asked for a surreal pose from him and he gave me this masterpiece. He really knows how to work the camera, don't you think?
In this picture, I asked him to give me a look with attitude and he threw out a bit of a Punk Rock Elvis pose per the snarled lip. I tell you, this boy really knows his stuff.
Now in this photo, I gave him the direction to pose in an "Out Loud" sort of look, so as you can plainly see, Lucas gave the battle cry yell look. The coolest point in all this picture he wanted me to add were the blue socks and hat. That was his touch of course.
Lucas and I got a little artsy with this one. Notice the beatlesque pose by him. At such an early age, I am beginning to think he is a prodigy of some sorts.
This is where he got a bit hungry and decided to munch on Tigger's tail. I did ask him to surprise me with this shot though, and he did exactly that.
The pic to the left signifies Lucas' shy side as I asked him to show me and the pic to the right was a "Just look cool dude". Could he be any cooler?!!
This last one was a dreamy picture in which he has his awesome derby on. A prodigy I tell you!!!
Well, we have come to the end of "The Lovable Lucas" blog and the great poses he gave me as a result of this photo shoot. He is so darn Lovable!!
So, it has been a short while since I have posted anything, and now is a good a time as any to do so. I will showcase some pictures of wonderful son and the name of this blog is of course as you see as up top as "Lucas Smiles." However, not every picture will be with my most handsome son smiling. There will be every, some and all in between. Enjoy the very special showings of Lucas Arthur Sotomayor!!!
Here we go... Look at this little tyke I call my son. A happy boy indeed!!!
Here he is on his boppy and I believe this one was totally directed at Mama Adrienne.
Smiling at his favorite girl, as well as mine.
You would have to be heavily sedated and comatose to not smile when you see this one. Happy maybe? No, no no...Happy Baby!!!
What I love about this one is the little baby tongue emerges to complete this marvelous smile performed by my one and only most cute and handsome son. No smile on the outside, but on the inside Lucas is Bubbling over with ecstatic baby Joy!! By the way, this picture exemplifies why I love my son so much. Just a simple.... "What, I sittin here!!!" Here is the makings of a great smile. One that is in the workings and ready to be unleashed!!! This one on the left is actually a classic "Elvis smirk." Here on the left is the suprised look, right before a sweet and addicting smile. Dad is probably doing something very silly off camera for this enjoyable and excitable smile. Well, I hoped you were enthralled by all of the little baby smiles and nuances. Lucas sure is growing; especially in the cheeks area, and his personality continues to stand out just like that super cute smile of his. Remember that Lucas means - Bringer of Light - and with his smile, that is one thing that certainly happens without a hitch.
Bueno and Hello, Thank you for visiting and taking a gander at my blog. Take a load off, get a glass of whole milk and savor it. Yes, you could maybe even freeze it and have a Milk Popcicle! Enjoy this site like you do your milk. My apologies for the lactose intolerant.
